Mandala Therapy
Art making for the purpose of transcendence, mindfulness, and wellness.
. . .
Traditionally, the mandala is used as a meditation tool to search for the meaning of self.
The very nature of creating a mandala is therapeutic and symbolic. The shapes and colours you create in your mandala art will reflect your inner self at the time of creation. Using your instinct and feeling should inspire and guide you through the process of creation.
Ultimately, you will be creating a portrait of yourself. Whatever you are feeling at that time, whatever emotions are coming through, will be represented in your mandala art.
Your Mandala is a representation of you. A snapshot - a brief moment in time spontaneously expressed through your unique personal mandala.
“ The mandala is an archetypal image whose occurrence is attested throughout the ages. It signifies the wholeness of the Self. This circular image represents the wholeness of the psychic ground or, to put it in mythic terms, the divinity incarnate in man.”
Carl Jung
